Lake Dillon Preschool and Early Learning Center has been in existence since 1990, successfully serving both the Summit County local community and visitors for over 20 years. Our facility is licensed by the State of Colorado and our programs are designed to meet the physical, intellectual, and emotional needs of children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Our center is divided by developmental levels and ages, and we practice the Creative Curriculum approach to early education. Our professional staff consists of caring, experienced, dedicated child care providers. Children who are exposed to our learning environment are encouraged to be involved in a wonderful variety of safe, sensory-rich activities. Our philosophy is that children learn best by doing and exploring. |

The goal of our curriculum is to help children develop intellectually and to become independent and self-confident individuals. This goal is accomplished by addressing all of the following areas of a child’s development on a daily basis.
COGNITIVE: Help children become confident learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success, and by helping them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems through experimentation, ask questions, and use words to describe their ideas, observations and feelings.
SOCIAL: Help children feel comfortable in school, trust new environments, make friends, and feel that they are part of the group.
EMOTIONAL: Help children experience pride and self-confidence, develop independence and self-control and have a positive attitude toward life.
PHYSICAL: Help children increase large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.
